By choosing to write about the Cypress Hill Massacre, I hope to educate people on an event that they may not have known about before.
I hope that a contest like this one, which creates awareness for heroes and heroines, could be a step towards recognition for these people.
I chose this topic because I felt that the pioneers for civil rights in Canada are often forgotten.
I wanted to bring light to a man who has done so much, but received very little recognition.
