Present Communities – Refugees

I have created a classroom activity for Grade 6 Social Studies, focusing on strand A (Communities in Canada, Past and Present). This lesson is part of a unit plan I have created on multiculturalism in Canada and it focuses on refugees who are entering Canada. I believe this lesson is a good introduction to students about who refugees are and the issues they face when coming into the country. This lesson also works towards a greater understanding for the need of inclusivity within the nation.
