Comparative Immigrant Experiences on PEI

In my home province of Prince Edward Island, there have been immigrants arriving for hundreds of years, contributing to our present cultural mosaic. The early 19th century witnessed the greatest influx of Scottish immigrants who voyaged over to seek new life on new land. A century later, during the early 1900s, the Lebanese began joining the Island community. These two groups of Island immigrants faced very different struggles, though they shared a common experience.
