Charter of Rights and Freedoms Shaping My Identity

So many factors have made me the person I am today. My aspirations and hopes for the future give me drive to work hard and focus on my interests. Being an active member in the Jewish community, and being able to be open about my religion has given me a supportive group of friends that have a similar upbringing as me. Freedom of expression has allowed me to explore the world of fashion and art, and develop my own worldviews. Having a diverse and open group of friends has allowed me to experience new cultures and lifestyles and helped me become a more worldly and accepting person. The 1982 Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms has given Canadians the ability to choose and without it I would not be the person I am today.
