Guy Elton Dingle

When Guy was discharged he went to Toronto where he met and married Helen Doherty on July 19th 1922.


Guy Elton Dingle was born June 14th 1895, in Brockville, Ontario. He enlisted in the 156th Battalion March 6th 1916. Sailing to England October 17th 1916, he served in England and France with the 156th, 157th, 8th Reserves, 4th Canadian Milita Regiment, and 2nd Ontario Regimental Depot. Guy was wounded July 17th 1917, but wasn’t discharged until June 24th 1919.

When Guy was discharged he went to Toronto where he met and married Helen Donerty on July 19th 1922.

Helen was the daughter of a New Brunswick doctor and nurse. She became a nurse and served in France from July 20th 1916 to April 4th 1919. Guy and Helen had two children Mary Elizabeth and Jane Girvan.

Guy died June 25th 1976.
