Project: The Canadarm, Reaching for the Stars

My presentation is about the Canadarm. I explore what the Canadarm is, some things it did, the history of the Canadarm, and how it impacted Canada.

What was the most interesting thing you learned about your topic?

How the Canadarm opened the door for Canadians to become astronauts. Without the Canadarm, Canada’s part in space exploration would be completely different today.

What important lessons have you learned that you want to share with other Canadians?

That the Canadarm was more than just a robotic arm in space, it is an important part of Canadian history and space exploration.

How would you compare your life today to the lives of those studied in your project?

There has been many technological advancements thanks to the work of those in my project. Without the Canadarm, there wouldn’t be robots such as the Canadarm2, NeuroArm, IGAR, and many more. Canada’s space program today wouldn’t be the same without the Canadarm either.
