Project: The Hudson's Bay Company
The project is about how Hudson's Bay Company started and some of the struggles and victories along the way.
What was the most interesting thing you learned about your topic?
HBC was started by two men, not one. Now, the company is owned by Jerry Zucker, a U.S. millionaire. Surprisingly HBC has lasted for about 300 YEARS!!!
What important lessons have you learned that you want to share with other Canadians?
I learned that you should never give up what you have started. Their lives were just like ours, so don't be afraid to jump out of your box and try something new. EVERY CHOICE MATTERS, and may have greater impact then you realize.
How would you compare your life today to the lives of those studied in your project?
Technology has changed lots over 300 years. Shipping items was a longer process back in the 1600's. One thing that hasn't changed is that we all have struggles.
