Project: Friendship in Bloom

This project is about how Canada and The Netherlands became friends.  It describes the different aspects of their friendship and how it came to be.

What was the most interesting thing you learned about your topic?

The most interesting thing that I learned was how even after 70 years, Holland still appreciates Canada's great sacrifices.

What important lessons have you learned that you want to share with other Canadians?

I learned that we can always help other countries, no matter the difference and that Canadians will make large sacrifices for strangers. I also learned that both countries were, and are still brave.

How would you compare your life today to the lives of those studied in your project?

My life today is very different than those in my project because we have new technology, lots of freedom, safety and we do not live in fear.
