Project: Canada & Titanic

My project is on Canada and the Titanic. I chose this topic because many Canadians don't know how Canada relates to the Titanic disaster and I would like to bring more attention to it. I hope you enjoy and learn lots!

What was the most interesting thing you learned about your topic?

The most interesting thing that I have learned by researching this topic would be how much of it relates to Canada! I had no clue that the ship that recovered all the bodies was sent from Halifax and the largest number of Titanic victim's bodies are buried in Halifax as well! Canadians have a lot to be proud of, we just don't realize it yet!

What important lessons have you learned that you want to share with other Canadians?

An important lesson that I have learned from doing this project is that history can be very interesting. If you find a topic that interests you, you can learn a lot of things that you didn't know before and have the opportunity to share it with others.

How would you compare your life today to the lives of those studied in your project?

I would say my life today compared to those on the Titanic would be much better! Technology has come a long way since then and has definitely made it easier to do school work and get involved in things like this. It also could have saved the Titanic from sinking.
