Projet: Sir Samuel Steele

My project looks at Sam Steele, a leader in the North West Mounted Police (NWMP) who had control over the NWMP in the Yukon during the gold rush. I examine his life during this period and the hardships.

I had heard of Sam Steele, but wasn't aware of the important role he played in Canada's history. Steele is my uncle 7 generations removed.

There were interesting and important events in the history of Canada. Key people like Steele shaped Canada as a country.

We live in a comfortable urban environment. The early settlers like Steele had long distances to travel, often by horse, and were separated from their families.
