We pack a lot into the pages of every issue of Kayak, but there’s always more great stuff we just can’t fit in. So join Teeka and Beau, our otter mascots, to find out more about the theme of each issue, or just pick up some random bits of Canadian history.

Who Are They?
This famous painting of the Fathers of Confederation wasn’t actually done at the time they met. It was painted in 1883 by a man named Robert Harris, but the great fire on Parliament Hill in 1916 destroyed the original. This copy was done by Rex Woods; it hangs in the Centre Block. It shows the men present at the Charlottetown and Quebec conferences, plus the secretary, Bernard Hewitt. Woods also added an image of the original artist. See if you can figure out who they all are.
