As a proud woman in a country and century I am considered equal, I was interested in learning about a time when women were oppressed.
I chose this topic since the 20th century was an exciting period of political and economic growth as Canada developed a national identity.
This contest was a great opportunity for me to share my background with people while teaching them something about their country's past.
I love military history as well as studying Canada's past relationship with the United States, as both continue to impact our lives today.
