My Canadian Identity Developed by History

Canada is a place of great promise and acceptance. It has been a top ranked country for many years and one of the world leaders in upholding civil and human rights. For 150 years Canada has been home for many people from all walks of life. The fight for just immigration laws, gender equality and black rights in Nova Scotia were turning points in Canadian History that influenced my personal sense of Canadian identity.
