Visions

Eyes wide with wonder decorated the face of a young girl standing in front of a large dome. "Expo 67, the most exciting time of my life. A time where flags and faces of countries far and wide flocked to Canada."

"Do you see the monorail?" she asked, pointing out a squiggly line supported by beams. I nodded enthusiastically.

"That there, that was progress. We all thought that one day they'd be the vehicles of choice. The visions of a bright, beautiful future led by technology like the monorail were what motivated us."

This question covers an event which occurred close to home, and also happens to be one which I would have loved to have attended.
