Roots of Canada

‘There are countless reasons why Canada is as it is, and all of these reasons may be called origins. The War of 1812, Confederation, and the battle of Vimy Ridge are all undeniably origins of this country, but there are many others to be considered as well. It is impossible to find one “true” origin of a country with such a unique and fruitful history. The combination of all the events over the centuries and how one led to another is what created what we have today, and it is essential to recognize this. Canada is still changing and developing – history is still being made – and certainly even more defining moments are to be had. After all, is this not what makes us Canadian – the multicultural, multidimensional way we were created? There are endless origins of Canada, some we might not even realize, and it is important to thank them all. ‘
