Above all, the reasons why women achieved the right to vote in Manitoba, Saskatchewan and Alberta [were:] influential activists and influential pro suffragist organizations… because the War… forced women to complete important jobs… and finally, because of changing views towards the role of women [due to the fact that] the provincial party leaders changed [and t]he conservative core values largely differed from those of the Liberal.
