The Honour of a Stamp

Both Louis Riel and John A. Macdonald contributed tremendously to building the foundations of Canada. They brought their own individual strengths and perspectives based on their personal backgrounds, cultures, language and connections. Additionally, both lived through some difficult times, which formed and impacted their opinions and leadership style. Both Riel and Macdonald’s failures and struggles in their personal lives helped them thrive and stay focused on what they wanted to achieve. The question is whether Louis Riel and John A. Macdonald equally deserve the honour of having their image on a Canadian postage stamp.
