A Historically Influenced Identity

To many people, history is a boring topic that holds no relevance, since it is passed and does not affect us. However, life in the present is directly affected by the past. Some developments from Canada’s history continue to have an impact on everyday activities, while others help to define morals and form identities. Moments in Canadian history that have most influenced my identity and my life are the creation of Canada’s current national flag, the journey of Terry Fox across Canada, and the creation of the blue box program.
