Then and Now

By the entrance, there was a room, which he thinks is an homage to the American space race. However, these showcases somewhat lack the awe inspiring feeling they did fifty years ago. In this room, there are stickers, for both English and French speakers, and he takes one of each for his family waiting at home. So many years ago, he wanted to escape the Earth. He wanted to explore. But, here on Earth, he has his family. He has people that he has grounding him, and, most importantly, he has to protect the Earth for his grandchildren. He notices, absentmindedly, the irony of the change in this museum. Now, resources are used to protect this Earth, rather than escape it.
