A Divided Century

[D]id the 20th century belong to Canada as predicted by Sir Wilfrid Laurier? The answer is surely no, as the divide between Canadians politically, by gender and by race continued as the century went on. Women continued to be discriminated against, Canada’s independence was made without the full consent of all of the provinces, and horrific discrimination against minority groups occurred at various times throughout the century.
