Barnardo`s Home ChildrenI just googled Barbados Home Children and discovered that it will cost a pretty penny to obtain any records from them. They do an initial search for free if you are not living in Britain. For free they establish if your ancestor was a Barnardo boy or girl. I now realize that because of the cost our government would never consider financing the retrieval of these records. So sad, I cannot justify to myself spending that much on my quest. If I was a living Home Child I would be torqued. On the upside if the information was available there would be quite a bit of it. Unfortunatley, when my great grandfather was a home child records if they existed at all were poor at best.
