Jeunes Citoyens / Young Citizens

Sarah Whitehorse, Yukon Territory

Fair address: Yukon/Stikine Regional Heritage Fair

Project: Canyon City

My film is about the history of the old town Canyon City.

What was the most interesting thing you learned about your topic?

That over 300 boats had been smashed in the white rapids.

What important lessons have you learned that you want to share with other Canadians?

I learned about Canyon City before I did the film. I knew nothing about the peaceful city but now I know all about it.

How would you compare your life today to the lives of those studied in your project?

In our lives now it is easy to get around and there's no risk of us drowning or getting hurt trying to go from place to place.

Wow, I really liked your short plays and many pictures in the video. The music there also seemed to fit in.
