Project: The Richest Women In The Yukon

This is about the richest woman in the Yukon. Her name was Ethel Berry and her husbandʼs name is Clarence Berry Its also about how she found gold and her life story.

What was the most interesting thing you learned about your topic?

That she never gave up,even when her husband gave up she just kept on going no matter what! She and her husband made 7 million in gold!

What important lessons have you learned that you want to share with other Canadians?

I hike down the Chilkoot trail and found some of the stuff they used on the Chilkoot. Like some of the heavy cook stoves that the packed all the way up the Chilkoot, which was pretty cool!

How would you compare your life today to the lives of those studied in your project?

For one I never ever went to the Gold Rush and we have running water and electric stoves!
