How to Make a Paper Poppy

Bright red poppies grew everywhere in parts of Europe where Canadian troops fought. They were made famous in the poem “In Flanders Fields,” written by a Canadian army doctor, John McCrae. In 1921, the Great War Veterans Association chose the poppy as a symbol of remembrance, which has been continued by the Royal Canadian Legion. You can use these directions to make your own.
