Harris was just shy of his 20th birthday when he was killed.

Herbert Harris, circa 1915. Harris, a member of the 31st Battalion, was killed in action in September 1916. Born in 1897, the native of Wiseton, Saskatchewan, was working as a farmer at the time of his enlistment. Harris was just shy of his 20th birthday when he was killed.
