Hedley Seldon Dimock

In August 1918 he was wounded after throwing himself on a German grenade to protect the rest of his unit.


Hedley Seldon Dimock enlisted with the Princess Patricia’s Canadian Light Infantry University of Saskatchewan group in Saskatoon in 1917. In August 1918 he was wounded after throwing himself on a German grenade to protect the rest of his unit. Severely wounded, it was months after the war before he was able to return to Canada, where he eventually returned to his studies. He was the Director of Training for the United Service Organization during WWII.

Hedley was born in South Rawdon, Nova Scotia on February 11th, 1891.
