Benjamin Chalmers Salter was a minister in the Maritimes. He served as a lieutenant for the 42nd Battalion and the 2nd Divisional Cyclists Company in the First World War and as a chaplain in the Second World War.

He was born on March 19, 1892 in Chatham, New Brunswick. He enlisted to the Great War on December 2, 1914 from Nova Scotia.
