Wilbert Lloyd Attridge lied about his age so he could fly with the Royal Flying Corp.


Wilbert Lloyd Attridge of Hamilton, Onatrio, enlisted when he was only 16 years old. He lied about his age and ended up flying Sopwith Camels for the Royal Flying Corp. Wilbert’s brother, Arthur Russell Attridge was also in the service on the ground.

Arthur Russell Attridge of Hamilton, Ontario, was born March 29th 1896. Prior to enlisting he was a Bank-Clerk at the Bank of B.N.A. Arthur enlisted February 21st 1916 to the 47th Battery, C.F.A.C.E.F.
